Winter’s history is punctuated by milestones and memorable events. In 1961 Albert Roper Winter resigned his partnership in ABCO Construction to start his own venture. He formed the A.R. Winter Company, Inc. in 1962, and it continued as a growing, successful business for fourteen years. In 1978, Bob Silverman partnered with George Macomber and purchased A.R. Winter Company’s name and assets and founded The Winter Construction Company. In 1983, George Macomber was ready to pass the company on to the next generation. Bob Silverman embraced the opportunity and purchased the Macomber’s shares of Winter.
