Founded in 1915 by William Fox (of Fox Studios fame), Deluxe Media has evolved over the past century to become the leading provider of a broad range of film and digital entertainment industry services, from pre-production through release. To support a constantly evolving range of offerings, Wirt Design has provided architectural design services to Deluxe Media through a range of projects totaling over 150,000-sf.

Rapid expansion and a decision to relocate from Pasadena to Santa Monica led to WDG’s second assignment with this online relationship service company. The project’s objective was to provide a facility that encourages staff interaction, represents the client’s brand image, and is an exciting and fun place to work.

Located in the top two floors of a LEED Gold office building, the challenge was to provide an open, collaborative and creative office space evocative of the client’s main retail business. With 50,000sf spread over two floors, it was important to develop a design solution that maintained the close-knit “family” culture that is critical to this business.
