Description

Wisconsin Prosthetisc and Orthotics (WPO), formerly known as Wisconsin Orthopedic Appliance Co, was founded in Milwaukee in 1951 by Joe Pungarcher, himself an amputee. After one year, Joe moved his business to Green Bay, where the original office still remains. In 1975, Raymond Gustin, CP purchased the company along with his partner Jack Weldon, CP. They successfully ran the practice as a single office until 1988, when the practice expanded to multiple locations across Wisconsin, including a mobile service to outlying areas.
