This forecast significantly improves upon other published forecasts because it: -Forecasts ten years to 2020, rather than just five years. Peak sales volumes for new mobile technologies including analog and GSM were not reached until around 16 years after launch. Similar length lifecycles will prevail for 3G and 4G including new technologies such as LTE, so business planning horizons must extend significantly beyond the five year limits of other industry analysts’ forecasts. -Quantifies phone and non-phone device sales with clear segmentation between these categories and between embedded and discrete devices.
