Description

Ken Layne has been an editor of the "notorious political website" Wonkette since 2006. He has toiled for Gawker Media, Tabloid.net, AOL, UPI, the Los Angeles Examiner, LA City Beat, Prognosis, SPLOID, the Budapest Business Journal, True/Slant and the Las Vegas Weekly, and has contributed to piles of publications both living and dead, including the Los Angeles Times, RADAR and the New York Times Magazine. Before all that, he was a daily newspaper reporter in California and a wandering freelancer in Post-soviet Eastern Europe and the Balkans. As a reporter for USC's Online Journalism Review, Layne was the first blogger to cover the presidential conventions, in Philadelphia and Los Angeles in 2000, a quadrennial habit he has yet to break.
