Woodpecker Workshop, Inc. is a family owned and operated business based in Garfield County since 1974. Through the master carpentry skills of Bob Layman and his wife Mary, Woodpecker Workshop, Inc. has created high quality furniture and dwelling projects for over 28 years. Projects have included custom home building, remodeling, small commercial and private residences, custom furniture construction, barn and garage construction, covered porches and decks. Much of our success can be attributed to the unique, yet simplistic design of our products and solid construction and carpentry practices. We focus on design products that blend naturally into the architectural landscape of the project and enhance the overall geography of the area. Woodpecker Workshop, Inc. works with several reliable subcontractors and is licensed and insured. As the owners and project managers, Bob and Mary Layman believe home buyers should expect excellence and settle for nothing less.

Our Company Woodpecker Workshop, Inc. is built on the principles of making quality products and providing reliable service that delivers the design specifics of the customer. Bob and Mary Layman have been longtime residents of Silt, Colorado. Bob's passion for carpentry and Mary's innovative ideas has kept them involved with the community and projects which incorporate the culture, natural resources and geographical influences inherent to the Garfield County area. Bob and Mary have two children, Katie and Bobby. Katie has pursued college for the past 6 years acquiring several degrees. She is expected to graduate from Colorado State University Fall 2007 with her Masters of Agriculture degree.

Woodpecker Workshop utilizes consistant custom services for all of our clients from furniture and barns to remodeling and new home building. We provide high quality services including budgeting, project design and details, construction and warranty.
