Description

Health Watch is an electronic publication of the World Chiropractic Alliance (WCA), an organization dedicated to providing the truth about health, wellness and total well-being. First published in January 1999, Health Watch has carried reports of scientific and medical research exposing the dangers of medical therapies and procedures and positive news about non-medical wellness care. Selected articles from previous year's publications are included in the Health Watch archives. "The main purpose of the WCA Health Watch is to provide accurate and documented articles about health care that are not readily available through mainstream news media," explains Terry A. Rondberg, DC, founder and CEO of the World Chiropractic Alliance. "Too often, such reports are suppressed by the billion-dollar drug industry which funds -- through its extensive advertising -- much of what we see on television and in the print media." Every attempt is made to include accurate and verifiable documentation for each story, including links to research papers and/or institutions providing primary source material. Terry A. Rondberg, DC, has been an influential figure in the chiropractic profession since 1986, when he founded and published The Chiropractic Journal, which continues to serve as a major source of chiropractic information. In 1989, he founded the World Chiropractic Alliance (WCA), serving as its first president for more than a decade. He currently is the CEO of the organization. Dr. Rondberg has written numerous articles on chiropractic for the profession and the public, as well as several best-selling books, including "Chiropractic First," "Under the Influence of Modern Medicine," and (co-authored with Timothy J. Feuling) the "CBS Malpractice Prevention Program," and "Chiropractic: Compassion and Expectation."
