Description
Submission Guidelines for Writers and Illustrators World Vision Resources educates believers about global poverty, inspires them to social justice, and equips them with innovative resources to make a difference in the world. We seek manuscripts that call people to a life-changing commitment to serve the poor in the name of Christ. Our books include: Global Education Resources These resources enable Christian educators and church leaders to teach young believers God’s vision for justice found in Scripture and awaken them to their own capacity to make the world a better place. These resources are also intended for leaders who want to tackle the topics of poverty and injustice Examples include: high school textbooks, teacher’s manuals and supplemental resources, justice-based Bible studies, activity manuals on justice issues, and program- or event-specific resources. Theological and Academic Resources These materials are for ministry leaders and/or educators seeking to explore poverty and injustice issues. Resources provide foundational theory and in-depth discussion on a variety of topics. These resources could be used to develop course content or as a student resource in a seminary or college course on justice. Examples include: academic, theological and foundational materials. Prayer and Spirituality Resources These resources provide educators and ministers with materials for reflecting on global poverty and justice. These resources encourage moments of prayer and contemplation and inspire readers to reflect on God’s call to justice and service. Examples include: daily or weekly devotionals and prayer books, prayer-service resources, and seasonal prayer resources (i.e. Lent, Advent). Gift Books that Promote Poverty Awareness or Issues of Justice These resources inspire readers to reflect on and respond to poverty and injustice. These resources make perfect gifts for children and adults alike. Resources might include children’s books and photo essay books.
