Description
After the exam he will discuss his findings and recommend the best possible solution for your issues. Dr. Wyll has vast experience in evaluating and treating diabetic patients. If you are a diabetic and have not had an exam within the past year, please call today and schedule your diabetic eye exam with Gene Wyll, M.D.
How is a Cataract diagnosed? A thorough medical eye exam by Dr. Wyll can detect the presence and extent of a cataract. How is a Cataract treated? Initially, changes in eyeglass or contact lens prescription may be all that is necessary to improve vision and alleviate symptoms due to cataract. There are no medications, exercises, or other methods of treatment that can completely prevent or cure cataracts. If and when it interferes with a person's normal daily activities, then surgery to remove the cataract and to replace the lens with an intraocular lens implant should be strongly considered.
During the exam, he will check visual acuity, eye tracking, focusing ability and will detect such visual conditions as near and far-sightedness, astigmatism, amblyopia ("lazy eye") and crossed eyes. A comprehensive eye exam is essential in the detection and treatment of vision problems and diseases. Dr. Wyll has extensive experience in fitting children with contact lenses. Switching your child from glasses to contacts can considerably enhance their ability to participate in and succeed at many types of sports activities. Your child might just want a boost of self-confidence with contact lenses.
After performing an initial comprehensive eye exam, Dr. Wyll will recommend the specific type and brand of contact lens that he feels will satisfy your lifestyle needs, as well as result in the best vision and comfort for you. Gene Wyll, M.D. can fill the contact lens needs of patients with nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism. In addition, he has extensive experience in performing more complex contact lens fitting issues such as various corneal diseases, including keratoconus.
