Description

In all our taxi operations, we provide a large number of daily trips to the elderly and disabled in close partnership with local government agencies who manage these services for cities and counties. We provide services in regular taxis for certain passengers, but we also have special taxis that are configured to handle wheelchairs.

The Yellow Cab Company was founded in Baltimore in 1909. It is one of the oldest Yellow Cab service in the US and Baltimore’s oldest and largest taxicab company, serving approximately 5 million people annually with a fleet of over 600 vehicles. Our taxi service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year in Baltimore City (Yellow, Checker and Sun Cabs) and Baltimore County (Jimmy’s Cab). We are constantly working to ensure that our drivers have the finest tools available in order to provide the best and most punctual service possible.

We have the largest taxi fleet in Baltimore, designed to meet all the needs of our customers. The majority of our fleet consists of Crown Victorias. We also have a large number of Dodge Minivans for our customers who need extra space, as well as wheelchair accessible vans. In addition, we continue to add Prius hybrid vehicles to our fleet in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint and do our part to help the environment.
