With Young's Security Systems, Incorporated, your home or business is protected, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Imagine the peace of mind you will have knowing that when you are at home or away, your property is protected. With a residential alarm system, you, your family members and your cherished possessions are shielded from fire, burglary, carbon monoxide, sump pump failures, low and high temperature, humidity, water leaks, gas leaks and power outages. What is a monitored alarm system? A monitored alarm system uses sensors and control electronics at your home or business to automatically communicate alarm events to a central monitoring facility (Central Station). The Young’s 24 hour, UL-listed Central Station automatically receives coded information from your system through phone, cellular, internet or radio connections, which is recorded in our computer systems and analyzed by trained operators who call police, fire, and medical authorities to respond to the situation. Is an alarm system expensive? The cost of an alarm system depends upon your individual needs. Our sales representatives are trained to work with you in identifying the most cost-effective system to meet your needs. Can I get a break on my insurance if I get an alarm system? Most insurance companies give significant discounts to alarm owners who are monitored by a UL listed Monitoring Station. What other devices can be monitored by my alarm? What is the advantage of having monitored smoke detectors? Having a monitored smoke detector at your premises ensures that the fire department will be contacted if you have a fire emergency. A good photoelectric smoke detector will detect smoke particles caused by even a slow smoldering fire. The smoke detector is powered continually and the Young’s security system supervises its condition. With this service, you can rest easy, knowing that your smoke detector is continuously monitored through a 24 hour zone, even when your alarm system is not armed. What happens if my phone lines are cut? A basic alarm system will not be able to communicate with the Central Station, but it will sound the siren on the premises. Young's offers GSM cellular communication which will communicate with our central station when your wired phone lines have failed. What happens in the case of power failure? The system has a back-up battery housed in the control panel for this emergency. It will recharge itself once the power returns.
