Welcome to the 2011 Yuma County Fair Rural America is alive and well in Yuma County! Come and enjoy Americana at its finest with "Fair Fun For Everyone"! Fair Fun includes 4-H Projects from animals to quilts, FFA projects including farming and livestock, and an "open division" that offers examples of the best in home economics, woodworking, floral arrangements, photography, fine arts, quilting, gems and minerals, and a broad category of crafts and hobbies. Not to be forgotten; the Junior Livestock Show and Auction which is among the best and biggest in the southwest. You and your family will enjoy carnival rides and games for all ages and the Demolition Derby is an annual must-see for the entire family. The entertainment line-up is better than ever. You can plan your Fair visit around the schedule of activities. The food crawl is the best! The cinnamon rolls, candied apples, cotton candy, kettle korn, frozen yogurt, tacos, hamburgers, beef dinners, fried chicken, baked potatoes, Indian fry bread, tai food and roasted corn are just a few personal favorites. The corporation consists of a thirty nine member Commission which elects a Board of Directors annually. The Board Of Directors set policies for the corporation and the Fair Management oversees the day to day activities. The Annual Yuma County Fair and the Fourth Of July Celebration are promoted and produced by the Corporation. The Fairgrounds rents the facility for most any event, (Animal Shows, Concerts, Weddings, Trade Shows, Motorized Events, R.V. Shows, and many more).
