My personal involvement with Tidewater Arts Outreach (TAO) allows me and other artists to do what Darden does in transcending boundaries from self to service. If you don’t already know, TAO, a 501c(3) Virginia not-for-profit corporation, was founded in 2003 with a mission to share the joy and healing power of the arts with anyone who have limited access to the arts due to health, economic or social circumstance. They may be in hospitals, retirement homes, rehabilitation centers, shelters and other facilities throughout the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.
