Description

ZBE was founded in 1980 by Zac Bogart, president. He formed the company to design special effects camera and motion control systems which were used in image-rich movies including “Star Wars”, “The Right Stuff”, "The Twilight Zone", and "Top Gun" as well as hundreds of animated short films and television commercials.

ZBE is a multi-disciplined imaging systems, optics, motion control and software technology company based in Santa Barbara, California. It has broad expertise in professional and consumer photography, printing, feature film development, and their productive workflows. ZBE’s employees together have over 400 years of experience in imaging-related research, technology and product development, manufacture, marketing, and service. The firm is celebrated as a pioneer in professional and commercial photo imaging technology.

ZBE develops, designs, manufactures, and markets Chromira digital printing solutions for professional, consumer, and commercial imaging applications. The company is committed to delivering the highest quality digital imaging systems capabilities at an affordable price. Its products are recognized in the industry for their imaging excellence, performance, robustness, and reliability. This dedication to “customer value and satisfaction” has led to broad market acceptance and fierce customer loyalty in all key imaging markets. ZBE products are offered worldwide.

To be successful in the ever changing digital imaging landscape, labs need to have knowledge in many different areas. They work with several products and are constantly required to learn new technologies in order to fully service their customers. ZBE recognizes that, while vital, the printer is only part of the imaging equation. ZBE holds regular Chromira Users Group meetings to help our users meet the needs of their customers and to learn how we can evolve to better service them (our customers), as well as to teach our users how to utilize their equipment for maximum productivity.

From ZBE’s first Chromira Users Group in 2001 to our seventh meeting in 2008, we have evolved and learned with and for our users. It’s important to ZBE to continue to provide for our customers’ changing needs. New products and product features are regularly born at these meetings due to attendee comments, and Chromira Users Group events have steadily become more multi-faceted. Our initial meetings focused on how to best capitalize on the Chromira printer’s many imaging benefits and capabilities.
