With 33 years of experience in the master planning, space programming, and design of medical facilities, Hugh Campbell brings an expertise in Evidence-Based Design, healthcare trends, technology, and Lean operations. In addition to working with several healthcare architecture firms prior to joining ZGF, his professional background includes serving as Chief of Architecture and Engineering for the New York City Department of Health.

John Thompson has 33 years of experience in architecture, planning, and urban design. As a Principal Designer in the Portland office, he has orchestrated teams on many of the firm’s more technically complex projects for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies and healthcare systems to numerous public sector entities. His background includes a diverse mix of urban design and site planning, research and laboratory buildings, museums, convention centers, airports, offices, and educational facilities.

Kimberly Kilgour is a Principal with 16 years of professional experience in the planning, design, and coordination of a variety of complex facilities. She is responsible for organizing and directing teams in the production of schematic design, design development, and construction document drawings and specifications, as well as interfacing with clients and leading design presentations. Her clients include the Soka University of America, the J. Craig Venter Institute, the California Science Center, and the Judicial Council of California, Administrative Office of the Courts.

Sandra Grande is the Director of Marketing for the Los Angeles office. With over 12 years of experience in the architecture and engineering industry, she understands the importance of connecting and collaborating with clients, consultants, and in-house teams to ensure that project and marketing objectives are met. Her marketing and business development responsibilities include closely collaborating with Partners and Principals to plan and implement marketing strategies that align with the firm’s overall design goals.
