Card Sentry Information The First National Bank of Arcola is pleased to announce the implementation of a new service for our customers. Identity theft and fraudulent debit card activity are on the rise in the United States. To provide you with another level of protection, we have initiated the use of a program called Card Sentry along with an upgraded service known as Real Time Denials. The Card Sentry program is a system designed to detect unusual or suspicious debit and ATM card activity. Your transactions are now being monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through a system of rules based technology. The "rules" are defined by transaction amounts, transaction velocity, geographical dispersion, merchant categories and other criteria. Early contact with you, the cardholder, will help to prevent losses due to lost/stolen cards, counterfeit cards, data base compromises and other fraudulent activity. There is cost to you as the bank is paying for this service. CSI will attempt to contact you directly to validate unusual transactions. An example would be if your debit card number were to be used here in Douglas County, and again in California during the same hour of the day. CSI will give you information regarding the activity and attempt to confirm that you initiated the transaction. Should the transactions be fraudulent, CSI will have the ability to block the card to prevent further losses. Please be aware that CSI will
