Description

Finding a Car's Value When buying or selling a used car it is important to determine the value of the car. One good way is to find out what wholesale price dealers are paying for the car at car auctions. How do you find out that information? The best way is by using guides such as the Kelley Blue Book or the NADA Gold Book, which are available in the reference section of most libraries (as well as online). These books include domestic and foreign cars that are 10 years old or newer. Another way to determine your asking price is to find the Black Book value of your car. Black Book features prices on used cars and trucks from 1988 through the present. You can access Black Book information on Cars.com, which includes mileage, vehicle condition, and factory extras for cars that have sold recently. With all this information in hand, you will be able to determine a fair and reasonable asking price for your car. Picture of VW Bug courtesy of www.freefoto.com
