Hugh Harrell IV (yeah, the fourth) aka DJ Buzzard has been making tracks since the late 80's. First, by providing hip hop tracks to his MC partners and then becoming an engineer for some local independent hip hop studios in Maryland. Growing up in Baltimore during the 80's allowed him to experience the varieties of hip hop, Go-Go, techno, disco and house music. During the 90's, while experimenting in his studio (The Lair), he decided to expose his own work to the only venue he knew about…The Underground Experience, a long-time Morgan State radio show dedicated to deep soulful house music. After reaching out to one of the show's personalities, DJ Oji, he was able to get an ear to his musical diversity. A little know fact is that the name that Hugh goes by was penned by Oji during an EP release on Poji Records and it hasn't changed since then. Releasing various self-penned tracks and numerous remixes, DJ Buzzard has had a international following that have played his tracks, either deep house or drum and bass styles in the past. Currently, he is collaborating with producers and artists nationally for upcoming releases.
