Richard A. Carden is a retired business executive. Since retirement, he has been engaged in many productive activities. These have included authoring and publishing books under the Pen Name of DickC. To date, he has published three works. The three published works relate to his life experiences. These would include his recovery from Alcoholism, his participation in service work dedicated to helping others, and other life changing events. In the early1990s, DickC invented a software driven process for data migration into digital files. After implementation, through his company, he had captured most of the Federal Business interested in data archiving. At this time he had no idea that his invention would lead him into the center of the Congressional Corruption Scandals. Eventually, Congressman Duke Cunningham would be sentenced to Federal Prison as a result of these scandals. During these investigations, because DickC and his company had been working with all of the accused folks unknowingly. DickC filed a Qui Tam Lawsuit and assisted the Federal Prosecutors in this effort. The particulars can be viewed at the Download Tab to the left by selecting Qui Tam. During this same period of time, DickC and his company, most specifically his process were under assault by some of the most powerful people in the country and Federal Government. These included Judge William Webster, his family, and Dr. Wilfred R. Konneker. The intent was to take control of the process and company. DickC has many more works to publish. However, his efforts have been temporairly suspended. In April of 2007 DickC was assaulted by two Wal-Mart employees, one of them a Supervisor. DickC was assaulted by the two employees with a shopping cart. They were shoving the cart into Dick C in an attempt to remove him from a particular checkout lane. As a result of the assault, DickC sustained serious injuries to his back and spine. These injuries led to many months of incapacitation and resulted in radical surgery that has left DickC permanently handicapped. A lawsuit is currently pending against the Wal-Mart company. It should be noted that the employees were ultimately fired along with others. Also, the Wal-Mart company made attempts to settle the matter very quickly which DickC did not do. The lawsuit can also be viewed at the Download Tab to the left by selecting Wal-Mart Lawsuit. In April of 2007 as the result of a routine traffic stop. DickC was injured further by the City Of Rolla Missouri Police Department. These injuries compounded the injuries sustained earlier at the Wal-Mart facility and led to many more months of incapacitation and resulted in additional radical surgery that left DickC permanently handicapped. A lawsuit has been filed and is progressing. The lawsuit can also be viewed at the Download Tab to left by selecting City Of Rolla. These two events, while they occured on the same day were markedly different. They occured at different and seperate locations and they resulted in different injuries to DickC The recovery of DickC has been ongoing. However at this point, it is unclear if DickC will ever be able to resume his prior activities.
