Who is nFX? nFX is a venture-backed Silicon Valley software firm committed to bringing real-time, interactive, living graphics to Multimedia and the World Wide Web. Existing multimedia and Web site graphics are static or at best consist of linear, pre-scripted animation. nFX technology adds a new, living dimension to graphics. nFX graphics and animation can be controlled in real time and new, original graphics can be created on-the-fly. New images are created through interaction with the user or from data representing events taking place in or outside the system. The Internet and Multimedia will forever be a far more interesting, compelling and interactive experience. How are we doing this? nFX is building radically different Multimedia and Internet authoring tools based on patented technology developed at MIT. These tools provide the capability for real-time generation and control of images for on-line, WWW and PC-CD/ROM multimedia environments.nFX allows multimedia and Web authors to create living "Content Generators" from a small number of reference images or designs. Based on these examples, the nFX software "learns" to generate hundreds, thousands or even millions of new, original images, all consistent with the style of the original author. These living "Content Generators" are small, compressed files that can be easily transmitted over the net or embedded in multimedia titles and applications. Using the nFX Active Viewer or nFX WebMation® Plug-In for Netscape Navigator®, images can be viewed, modified, animated and new images created in real time.
