Description

Currently, Stäna is the Development Director at Greenhill Humane Society and serves on the Boards of netCorps and Lane Interfaith Alliance. Stäna has been involved with nonprofits for over 20 years and deeply values netCorps' mission as a nonprofit serving nonprofits.

In early 2005, LEAP became a project of NetCorps after having been the North Carolina Peace Action Education Fund's primary program, known as Peace LEAP, since 2000. The need to build even stronger organizations and movements working for peace and justice is a primary reason that the Boards and staff of the North Carolina Peace Action Education Fund and NetCorps decided to combine our work and make Peace LEAP a project of NetCorps.

The Cascadia Region Green Building Council is one of three original chapters of the U.S. Green Building Council. Founded in Oregon in December 1999, the chapter covers Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia, but also includes members from Idaho and Montana. Cascadia strives to become the first and last word on green building by forging alliances with organizations that have a stake in the future of this region.

The United States Student Association, the country's oldest (founded in 1947) and largest national student-led organization, develops current and future leaders and amplifies the student voice at the local, state, and national levels by mobilizing grassroots power to win concrete victories on student issues.

The North Carolina Coastal Federation has worked with citizens to safeguard the state's coastal rivers, creeks, sounds and beaches since 1982. The North Carolina Coastal Federation is the state's only non-profit organization focused exclusively on protecting and restoring the coast of North Carolina through education, advocacy, and habitat preservation and restoration.
