Sisters of Bon Secours - (literally “Good Help”): Founded in 1824 in Paris, France, as an international Catholic religious order of consecrated sisters, our mission has always been anchored in three words: compassion, healing and liberation. Today, Bon Secours Sisters and our 20,000 colleagues spread God’s love throughout the four corners of the world. Our 130 years in the USA has spread from the Baltimore foundation to urban and rural communities.

Richard Arians has been a Serran for over 20 years. He first joined the Serra Club of Mankato, MN, in 1995, and joined the Rochester, MN, club when he moved there in 2001. In Rochester he served two non-consecutive terms as president and a term as District 7-S governor. Upon relocating to the Mankato area, he re-joined his original club and will be serving a term as President while also serving as the Region 8 director. Richard has been a regular contributor USAC SuperWeekends and leadership trainings.

Serra has been working for vocations since its founding in 1935. With over 65 years of experience under its belt, the organization has become a top provider of excellent vocations resources, not only to its members, but also to parishes and vocations directors everywhere.

A Philadelphia native and graduate of Villanova University (PA), USAC Treasurer Ed Rhodes has been a Serran for over 30 years. He is a past president and treasurer of the Serra Club of Burlington County, NJ, and he has also served as District 49 governor. As of June 1, 2014, Ed will begin serving his second year as treasurer for the Council. Ed’s professional background is in international financial management. Ed and his wife Marcella live in Cinnaminson, NJ, where they are very active members of St. Charles Borromeo Parish and Holy Name Society .

Founded in July 1994, the USA Council comprises over 11,000 Serrans in over 300 clubs in the United States.
