The Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) is a socio-spiritual organization with its roots in the Vedas. As a part of Hinduism, the Sanstha believes that spiritual and social activities go hand in hand. Hospitals, Schools, Hostels, Diagnostic Camps, Free medicines, Mobile medical vans and pure Herbal medicines are all part of BAPS activities, conducted internationally by fully devoted sadhus and volunteers. BAPS is also well known for the cultural monuments Akshardham (Delhi & Gandhinagar, India) and the Swaminarayan Hindu Mandir (Neasden, London). The Swaminarayan Hindu Mandir of London has been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records in 1997 and again in the year 2000 edition. With more than mandirs (temples) and centers in 45 countries, the organization is growing rapidly under the dynamic leadership of its spiritual head, His Divine Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj. .
