Aminco Anodes is the leading producer of precision-engineered, cost effective and energy-efficient carbon anodes.

Aminco Anodes engineers and manufactures carbon anodes - large carbon blocks that act as electrical conductors - used in aluminum smelting. Calcined petroleum coke (cpc) and coal tar pitch are mixed, formed into molds and baked according to smelter specifications as to physical and chemical properties. In preparation for smelting pots, the carbon blocks are fixed to copper rods with molten cast iron. Approximately, 400-450kg of anodes are consumed to produce one ton of aluminum.
