Founded in 2002, ABHT Structural Engineers is a full service structural engineering consulting firm located in downtown Portland, Oregon. Led by founding principals Clinton Ambrose and Randall Toma, ABHT is dedicated to providing the highest level of client service from project conception through completion.

COMMERCIAL - We provide structural services on all types of new and remodeled commercial projects including seismic retrofits. Our experience with a wide variety of building types and materials allows us to provide our clients a high level of service. SUSTAINABLE – Our experience on a multitude of LEED certified projects has given us the experience and understanding of the structural implications associated with implementing sustainable features into buildings. RESIDENTIAL – We work with architects, designers, contractors and owners on new or remodeled custom residential projects.

ABHT is currently providing engineering services for a new development by the Housing Authority of Portland to provide permanent housing, as well as a temporary shelter and a day-use drop-in access center. The project is currently in the beginning phases of construction and will result in an 8-story, 107,000 sf facility consisting of both post-tension and conventionally reinforced concrete. The ground floor will consist primarily of retail, shelter, and common space, while the upper floors will consist of office/administration space and housing units.

ABHT served as the structural engineer for a new 35,000 sf one-story building designed to meet the needs of Nike's growing child development program. The structural system consists of wood stud bearing/shear walls, steel post and glulam beam framing, and a wood framed roof system. ABHT's scope also included the structural design for a covered walkway and seismic bracing of a 16'-6" tall sculpture. This project has achieved LEED Platinum certification.

Rosanne Lynch Rosanne was born in California and raised in Portland, OR. She earned her B.A. in 2003 in Urban Studies from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota and her Masters of Architecture in 2009 from the University of Oregon Portland Urban Architecture program. Rosanne has worked with ABHT since 2008.
