ASTA is your support and information source for all things science here in Alaska. This includes statewide systemic science reform programs such as the Alaska State Science Standards and Performance Assessments, and the Alaska Rural Systemic Initiative. On a national level, ASTA has been and continues to be involved with science programs sponsored by AAAS, the NRC, and NSTA. Besides those programs, we are involved in national science recognition programs such as the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science and Mathematics Teaching, and we are a sponsor of the bi-annual Alaska State Mathematics and Science Conference.
