Over the last several years, American Gilsonite Company has been investing millions to put in new mines and adding staff to increase our production to meet the demand of the market. Beginning in 2008, we radically increased our capital expenditures to multiple times the previous years and we continued to invest heavily developing new mines through 2010. We planned for an increase in demand in 2011, but the actual increase was more than we anticipated.

HOUSTON, Texas, November 11/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Gilsonite Company, Inc. (“American Gilsonite”, or “AGC”), the world’s primary supplier of Gilsonite®, today announced it has appointed David G. Gallagher as Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, effective immediately. Mr. Gallagher has more than 30 years of experience in the oilfield service industry, holding executive level positions at leading firms such as Schlumberger, Carbo Ceramics and Baker Hughes.

While our products are currently used in six continents and over 80 countries, we are actively developing new products and solutions to meet our customers' needs—wherever they may arise.
