Founded in 1909, AIA Pennsylvania is the statewide component of The American Institute of Architects. Although independently incorporated, AIA Pennsylvania is officially linked to the National AIA and to the eight local AIA chapters in Pennsylvania.

The Board of Directors of AIA Pennsylvania, A Society of The American Institute of Architects, is pleased to announce the hiring of Stephen M. Swarney as AIA Pennsylvania's new Executive Director. Swarney comes to AIA Pennsylvania from the Keystone Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc., where he was the Director of Government Affairs. He brings extensive experience in Government Affairs, PAC Management and Professional Associations.
