Mr. Ortwerth has more than 35 years of experience in engineering consulting and management in construction materials testing and inspection services in the Houston Metro Area including two container yards (one using an on-site laboratory to perform testing of construction materials) and multiple smaller projects for the Port of Houston.

Mr. Ressman has more than ten years of experience in Engineering Consulting and Management in Construction Materials Testing and Inspection Services in the Greater Houston Metro Area. Mr. Ressman has extensive experience in consultation, testing and inspection of excavation, fill and backfill, soil stabilization, reinforcing steel, large mat placements, high strength and normal strength concrete, aggregates, sprayed applied fire resistive materials, post tension, fabrication and erection of structural steel, and pavements. Mr.

Our Geotechnical Engineering division is headed by Shou Ting Hu, P.E. with 30 years experience in providing geotechnical services and has a total of 3 licensed geotechnical engineers and 4 laboratory technicians. This is one of the most experienced geotechnical groups in Houston and has provided geotechnical services on many significant projects in the Houston area. AEC's Geotechnical Group has completed over 500 geotechnical projects and over $4 mil in net fees over the past 5 years.

Dr. Aviles has been engaged in construction materials testing, geotechnical and related environmental engineering in the Gulf Coast Region for over 50 years. Dr. Aviles' experience in construction materials testing includes design of runways for airfield structures, supervision of construction of earthen levees, project engineering for 20 mile haul road, study and evaluation of gravel and sand materials in an airfield runway test section, various highway projects for METRO, Harris County, City of Houston, and Park and Ride Facilities. He served in the U.S.
