Description
Berkeley Bowl first opened in July of 1977. We started as a small corner market in a building that had previously been a bowling alley. Indeed that is how our name came about. With hard work and good fortune we grew until we eventually occupied the entire building. Despite our success we have not forgotten our original motivation: to provide quality groceries at a great value. Our produce and unique style helped us stake out our place in Berkeley. Over a period 20 years we acquired a loyal following of regular shoppers representing both our local neighbors and food aficionados from all over the Bay Area.
