Description

The company, originally Burns & Noble when formed in 1991, is currently the largest commercial real estate firm in the eastern region of Texas. Burns Commercial Properties is owned by Taylor Burns, who has in excess of forty three years experience in East Texas real estate. Combined with that of our Leasing Agents, BCP brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table for the benefit of our clients.

The Property Managers and the building engineers have extensive experience in East Texas, Houston, Dallas, and other markets providing management services for all types of income properties. Each Property Manager handles a large portfolio of buildings for which monthly management reports are completed for review by the owners.

Blair Swaim, a Tyler native, graduated from Robert E. Lee high school and the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. After graduating in 1997, he served as a Naval Officer for over 6 years, including sea tours on the USS ESSEX (LHD 2) and the USS MCCLUSKY (FFG 41) in San Diego, CA. He concluded his active duty service as a Military Science Instructor at Texas A&M University where he was awarded the NROTC Instructor of the Year award. After a successful career in medical device sales in Tulsa, OK, he eagerly returned to Tyler and joined Burns Commercial Properties.

Burns Commercial Properties, LLC has been managing my retail center for over 5 years and they’ve been prompt, friendly and professional. I especially appreciate that they are proactive in handling the day-to-day matters that come up and that they have a network that allows them to address any issues, whether routine maintenance or emergencies. The level of communication and client service is excellent!

Prior to joining the former Burns & Noble team in 2004, Karen served in various positions in the banking industry for over 20 years and, as her career moved upward, she worked in the brokerage field for 5 years. Her first position was as the front desk receptionist but after a year of excellent work, she was promoted to the accounting department as an Accounting Clerk/Assistant.
