Don has been actively involved in East Texas real estate for over 30 years. He is a 1978 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors of Business Administration and a major in Finance. In addition to his lengthy career in the commercial real estate business, Don has served on numerous community boards and committees such as the Greater Tyler Association of Realtors where he served as Director for four years, the National Association of Realtors, and the Texas Association of Realtors where he also served as Director for four years.

Jim is proud to have served on the Board of Directors at the East Texas Food Bank for over 10 years. He was President of the Board in 2005 and will serve as president again in 2011. He has also been actively involved with the Tyler Chamber of Commerce, and Tyler Board of Realtors where he served as President.

Founded in 1983 by the current owner Don Simmons , Simmons Real Estate draws on its experience and in-depth market knowledge of the East Texas commercial real estate market for local, national and international clients.
