John served as President and CEO of Cayenne Software, Incorporated and managed the sale of Cayenne to Sterling Software. He also served as President of FJA-US, a subsidiary of FJA AG. He converted the firm to a product development and sales organization - selling the "Product Machine" to MassMutual, US Healthcare and other major carriers. For 25 years, John served as the most senior Information Systems executive with Unum Corporation, MCI, Citibank, New York Stock Exchange, Reynolds Metals and the Midwest Stock Exchange. The readers of InformationWeek selected John as CIO-of-the-Year in 1990. John organized his consulting company to provide management, marketing and technology expertise to startup and emerging firms. Clients included Sun Life of Canada who reengineered its US operations based on John’s recommendations; CleverSoft, which was founded by Unum employees to exploit technology developed there to manage distributed networks. CleverSoft grew quickly in its first two years, was sold to Candle Corporation and its investors received 3-fold returns. BTC also fostered the formation of Common Census, Incorporated, which is growing, profitable and delivering employee benefit management solutions for group insurance and worksite products. John has extensive experience as a CEO. In 1999, John was recruited as President of FJA-US, Incorporated the American subsidiary of FJA AG, an actuarial consulting and software development firm based in Munich, Germany. He developed the strategy and converted the software development subsidiary into a product development firm with Java-based solutions for insurance companies. Gerald H.
