It’s been the Carlsbad-based commercial printer’s hallmark since its start in 1989 as a small shop featuring quick-print work and duplicating services.It was then that Martin Solarsh, a recent transplant to San Diego County from South Africa, purchased what was then called Carlsbad Printing Service.Starting with 20 employees and a dream to create the county’s best commercial printing establishment, Solarsh and partner Philip Lurie -- who joined the company in 1990 -- have created a state-of-the-art full-service printing facility that is ranked in the top five of all commercial printers countywide in sales volume.
