Calvary Chapel is a body of believers gathering together under the lordship of Jesus Christ to worship Him, be taught by His Word and grow in our love for one another. We come to worship Him because He is worthy to receive glory, honor and power and has created all things. We therefore emphasize songs of worship and praise. We come to be taught by His Word because it is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path, leading us to a knowledge of Him. We therefore emphasize the teaching of His Word. We come to grow in our love because it is His commandment that we love one another, and by this the world will know that we are His disciples. We therefore emphasize the unity and fellowship of our body.
