Caminar, a non-profit agency serving the regions of San Mateo County, Solano County, and Butte County, California, has been providing community-based services for adults with disabilities and mental health conditions for over 49 years. We strive to support each individual in their recovery process, helping them to create and develop a personalized roadmap for achieving their goals.
Lori was recruited by Hewlet-Packard from college and held a variant of leadership positions within the company. Lori ran the Key Talent Programs for the top 1% of the VPs and Directors globally within HP, this strategy accelerated competitive leadership capabilities through cost-effective, innovative learning and performance solutions and experiences. Lori currently works for SuccessFactors and is the face of their EAD program. She holds an MBA from Indiana University, and a double degree B.S. /B.A. from the University of San Francisco in Biology and Sociology.
We believe that permanent, safe and affordable housing is critical to recovery from mental illness. In Solano County, we provide affordable housing for over 100 clients. We believe in the "Housing First" model while working with our clients, helping them find a long-term, stable, living environment essential to recovery and rehabilitation. Staff work closely with clients in their apartments to help them maintain them.
John Moutoussamy is Caminar’s Human Resource Director. John is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Society for Human Resource Management and holds a BA degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. John brings over fifteen years of HR experience from both the profit and not-for-profit sectors. He has held director level positions in Human Resources management in the bio-tech, consulting and human services industries.
Chip Huggins is CEO of Caminar for Mental Health and is a strategic, visionary leader with valuable experience in the non-profit and for-profit industries. He believes strongly in the importance of accountability, transparency and demonstrative impact as non-profits accomplish their mission. As a lifelong resident of the Bay Area, Chip has been committed to serving our community for decades.
