PARTNERS IN ARTS EDUCATION IN COLORADO The Colorado Springs Conservatory offers an after school, semester-based, performing arts curriculum. The enrichment/immersion arts curriculum affords flexibility to each individual student in order to ensure commitment and success of all students. In an environment conducive to exploring the many facets of the arts, the young performing artist engages not only in classes and lessons, but also in the positive peer and social environment that evolves from participation at the Conservatory. The Conservatory is a non-auditioned program that serves students on a weekly basis from within a two hundred mile radius of the Pikes Peak Region from every socio-economic background. Our goal is to challenge all students to aspire to their highest potential not only as artists but also, as human beings. CSC seeks to promote a respect for music and drama as a discipline of the mind and the spirit, a joyful affirmation of life, and a passionate commitment to an idea. By engaging in arts advocacy activities CSC is committed to integrating the effects of arts and culture on the community directly into the curriculum. By connecting students to the great traditions of the past, CSC gives them the keys with which to unlock the future. Graduating High School students of the Conservatory gain acceptance to some of the nation’s most prestigious Universities, Colleges, and Conservatories. Summer Session is open to all students and separate from semester based studies.
