Community Interactions, Inc. (CI) was founded in 1973 with our first home for children with developmental disabilities. Today, we serve 160 people with developmental disabilities or mental health challenges in 40 community living settings. There are 200 direct-care staffers, supervisors and program directors, operating from our headquarters in Springfield, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. CI provides selected services that best address the needs of each individual in the most appropriate setting. Plans are underway for Community Interactions to expand throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania and the States of Delaware and New Jersey. Mission. CI's Mission is to provide person-centered services and lifestyle choices to individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illness, so they may live as meaningful and contributing members of their communities, consistent with the everyday lives, rights and responsibilities of all citizens. Vision. Our Vision is to empower the people we support by fostering an environment in which they are recognized and respected as individuals. We accomplish this by providing innovative programs, services and supports chosen by them, and providing opportunities that enable each person to live a full and productive life in the community.
