Our agency has been blessed with public support for our programs. We continue to rely on community support to help us provide needed services. The ability to provide charitable care has made ours a better community in which to live.

As a non-profit organization, Community Nurses relies on the generosity and financial support of our communities to assist us in providing home health services to all in our communities who are in need of home care. Because the cost of caring for our patients and clients exceeds our resources, support from our communities is vitally important.

We may use or disclose identifiable health information about you without your authorization for several other reasons. Subject to certain requirements, we may give out health information without your authorization for public health purposes for auditing purposes, for research studies and for emergencies. We provide information when otherwise required by law, such as for law enforcement in specific circumstances, abuse or neglect, national security, judicial and administrative hearings.

Community Nurses, Inc. was established in 1929 when the Women's Club of St. Marys hired the first Community Nurse to provide healing services and health instruction to the homebound of the community. For over eight decades, our home health agency has provided in-home health care services for patients of all ages, from infants to the elderly.

Choosing Hospice is a difficult but rewarding decision for most families. With a family member or friend designated as primary caregiver, the role of the Hospice team is to provide a complete program of care in the home to meet the needs of the terminally ill patient and his or her family. Their goal is to help the patient remain as alert and as pain free as possible, at home or in a home-like environment.
