KCH offers state-of-the-art diagnostic and lab services with all-digital diagnostic imaging and Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. Surgical services offer a wide range of general and specialty surgical procedures, most same day. Patients requiring extended stays for skilled care such as strengthening or extensive rehabilitation may be kept as Swing Bed patients. The Swing Bed program was designed to provide the additional days of care required beyond the acute care stage of recovery, allowing patients to receive skilled care at a substantial cost reduction.
