Donal O’Connell is a former Director of Intellectual Property Rights at Nokia. He was with Nokia for 21 years and has wide experience in the global wireless telecommunications industry, having worked in the UK, USA, Finland, and Hong Kong. In the US Donal led Nokia’s R&D centre in Texas from 1997 to 2003, growing the team from scratch to more than 600 engineers. He was a leader of Nokia’s IPR Patent Creation team from 2003 to 2006. Donal’s first book “Inside the Patent Factory” (2008) is being followed by “Not All the Smart People Work for You” in 2010.

He has first hand experience of both design and implementation of remedies through his involvement in merger and competition cases with commitments across a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, medical equipment, feed enzymes, consumer brands, machinery for food manufacturing, and industrial chemicals.

Sylvie Benchimol is a seasoned business manager with extensive experience in the logistics (including shipping and airfreight), distribution and travel industries in Europe and internationally. Senior management roles have included HR, sales, marketing, strategy and finance. She also has extensive purchasing and supply chain management experience in one of Europe's largest manufacturing companies, Renault. Sylvie has a BA in Economics and a Masters degree in Economics from INSEAD.
