The Jacobs Institute of Women's Health (JIWH) is a nonprofit organization established in Washington, DC in 1990 to advance women's health through an integrated program of social science research, policy analysis and public education. The Jacobs Institute collaborates with a variety of key constituencies to develop research, reports, guidelines, programs, and initiatives. Our work provides health care professionals, policymakers and the public with accurate, balanced, evidence-based information about current and emerging women's health care issues. The Jacobs Institute also publishes a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed, bi-monthly journal, Women's Health Issues. Aiming to advance knowledge on women's health and improve women's health care delivery and policymaking, the journal covers a broad range of key women's health issues from both medical and social science perspectives.
