The family of CROSSTECH products from W. L. Gore & Associates, Inc., provide blood and body fluid penetration resistance as their primary feature, along with many other performance characteristics. CROSSTECH products are used in head-to-toe protective clothing in structural fire-fighting, emergency medical operations, search and rescue, and public safety fabrics for law enforcement. Gore, inventor of the first truly waterproof and moisture vapor breathable GORE-TEX fabric, has been refining and reengineering barrier technologies for more than 20 years for use in protective clothing.
