Crossroads Harley-Davidson opened for business April 2, 1994. The previous dealer, Lyall Harley-Davidson, had been in business in the Wilkesboro market since 1951, which made them the oldest dealer in North Carolina.Crossroads, under the ownership of Marty Tharpe and managing partner Mark Cox, opened a new 6,000 sq. ft. designer store, beginning with four employees and a 39-unit new bike allocation. With Crossroads' rapid growth, we are now a 200-unit new bike and Buell dealer with 19 employees. We have built a whole new customer base for our market, with 20-30 used bikes for sale on the floor.In 2001, Mark Cox became sole owner of Crossroads Harley-Davidson, Inc. Our future plans include relocating to a new larger facility in the Wilkesboro area by the summer of 2005 and a Harley-Davidson/Buell rental location in the Boone market.
