Description

Founded in Chicago in 1860, David Berg was one of the first companies to produce hot dogs in America. We hold the United States Department of Agricultural Inspection Approval #1. Increased popularity of the "hot dog" by introducing it in 1901 to major league baseball fans at the original Chicago White Sox Park, known as "American Grant Field." Our hot dogs were a popular item at the Republican National Convention in Chicago that nominated Abraham Lincoln for the Presidency. As a private company, we continue to manufacture our own products while much of the competition has gone to outside co-packers. Well known in sports arenas, theaters, transportation centers, recreation and entertainment facilities around the country. David Berg Hot Dogs & Sausages are available in Foodservice or Retail packages. See the product section for more details.
