Description
Derbydown was founded in 1947 by Mary Warner Brown . It had two prior locations but was always in Chester County, Pennsylvania. In 1959 Derbydown found its permanent home at 340 E. Hillendale Road in Kennett Square. It originally served as a cattle farm but was converted into a horse facility when Mary moved in.
