Dr. Vincent Miles is an Executive Partner at Abingworth with over 35 years’ experience in the biotechnology industry, including positions as Senior VP of Business Development at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals; as a VP of various corporate functions (business development, R&D, marketing, strategic planning, and corporate communications) at Millennium Pharmaceuticals, RiboGene and Pharmacia Biotech; as head of the technology transfer office at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute; and as an R&D scientist at Amersham International. Vincent is on the boards of Chiasma, Dynex Technologies, Hydra Biosciences, Magellan Diagnostics and PrimeraDx.

Dicerna Pharmaceuticals is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery and development of innovative treatments for rare inherited diseases involving the liver and for cancers that are genetically defined. Dr. Dennis Langer has been a director of Dicerna Pharmaceuticals since 2007 and of Myriad Genetics since 2004. He was previously senior vice president in research and development at GlaxoSmithKline and has a broad base of experience in innovative R&D companies such as Eli Lilly, Abbott and GD Searle. He is also a clinical professor at the department of psychiatry, Georgetown University School of Medicine.
