ElectroChem Inc. was founded in 1986 to provide leading edge research and development in the fuel cell industry. It holds many patents and a strong list of industry firsts. With the maturing of this industry ElectroChem has modified its business focus to include market and product development for the industry, specifically including fuel cell power systems, fuel cell test equipment and fuel cell research supplies. Since 1992 it has brought more than 15 product lines to market. Today its clients are on every continent and include small businesses, fortune 500 companies, universities, and governments. ElectroChem's manaement team has the breadth and depth of experience to bring fuel cell technology to the market.ElectroChem's fuel cell products are designed for ease of use and many years of service. Products include PEM fuel cells and stacks, as well as Phosphoric Acid Fuel Cells. NASA purchased ElectroChem's hydrogen-oxygen fuel cells for its upper atmospheric balloon missions. The temperature range for this atmosphere was -70 to 100°F. ElectroChem has also sold its "fuel cell in a suit-case" to government agencies and private industries both in the US and abroad. ElectroChem's EC-200 Power Pak, a complete power unit with both AC and DC outlets capable of powering an everyday appliance such as a radio, has also attracted attention.ElectroChem began producing test stations in 1992. Today our testing equipment provides a wide range of choices to customers based on their needs and budgets. Test systems include various modules of computer control units with varying electronic load boxes, gas diffusion units, and humidifiers. The system is integrated with Windows-based software specifically designed for fuel cell testing and reformate simulation.
