Description

This project consists of two similar two-story buildings which provide variable sized office spaces for doctors of several specialties. Each building consists of four pods connected with covered exterior walks around a central open court. Each pod is designed to provide spaces varying from 2000 to 6000 square feet per office unit. Each unit has its own HVAC system.

Ellis, Ricket and Associates has accumulated a wealth of experience in the planning and design of commercial facilities during the past 50+ years. We have successfully designed a number of healthcare facilities for a range of professional business clients. ERA is dedicated to providing a built environment that is inspiring, energy efficient, and meets the long term energy and maintenance needs of the clients.

Ellis, Ricket provides services in all phases of architecture, including design, land planning, programming, development consulting, interior design and construction administration. Our clients range from private individuals and corporations to government agencies at the municipal, state and federal levels.

The project consists of the construction of a five-story building that is a structural steel facility with exterior brick and cast stone, aluminum storefront, low E glazing and a sloping metal roof. The interior space planning includes eight court rooms, four holding cells, office spaces, judge's chambers, jury rooms, conference room, elevator and a mechanical room. The facility also consists of automatic sprinklers and metal stud partitions.

Planning or re-planning a university campus to meet the needs of the 21st Century is a complex and far reaching activity. The buildings, land and landscape of a campus collectively do more than serve their designated functions. They establish patterns of movement and social encounter among the members of the academic community and create opportunities for memorable spaces both indoors and outdoors. These spaces have been, and will continue to be, as significant to higher education as the changes being brought about by advances in information technology.
