Tom Selinske and John Selinske founded encore in 1984. Tom's professional career began at Bullock's Department Stores as an Operations Manager and John worked in the rubber stamp and engraving industry for 20 years prior to starting Industry Marking (predecessor to Encore). In 1987 they acquired Encore Trophy, which was founded in 1969 in Hollywood by Ron Edwards.
